Flight Crew Infographic
Million Girls Moonshot wants YOU to be a member of the 2024 Flight Crew.

As a Flight Crew member, you will participate in speaking engagements, attend events, connect with your local STEM community, and create exciting social media content, all to be an enthusiastic spokesperson for girls in STEM!

Those selected to be part of the Flight Crew will receive 8 months of communication and advocacy support, a $1000 scholarship upon completion of the program and an all-expense paid trip to the annual Million Girls Moonshot summer 2024 event,* and more!

Youth age 13 to 18 who reside in the U.S. and identify as female, gender-expansive, or outside of the identity of cis-gender male, are invited to apply to become a Million Girls Moonshot Flight Crew member!

Youth must be actively engaged in an out-of-school STEM program - this can include afterschool programs, summer programs, programs that take place on the weekends, or virtual experiences that meet more than once a year.

Entrants must be 13 or older and have adult permission to participate.

MORE ABOUT YOU

Tell us your story! Record a 1 minute video introducing yourself and addressing the following questions: 
  1. How have your experiences with STEM learning, outside of the classroom, influenced who you are today?
  2. What challenges are you most interested in solving for your community?
  3. How do you hope to make an impact in the future through STEM?

Guidance on filming:

  • Please film your video horizontally in a quiet space with good lighting.
  • As we hope to use these videos for your online profile if you are selected, please do not say, "And this is why you should select me for the 2024 Flight Crew," during the video Please note: this video will not be shared publicly until after the application closes and only if individuals are accepted to the program. Any video submissions must be provided in accordance with the Official Rules.

To be eligible for selection, youth entrants require the permission of a parent/guardian and their signature below indicating their approval, in addition to the other eligibility requirements outlined herein.
