Million Girls Moonshot Celebrates International Day of Women and Girls in Science by Announcing New Partnership with DiscoverE

Today, on International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we are excited to announce that the Million Girls Moonshot has a new partner, DiscoverE! DiscoverE joins forces with the Moonshot with a shared goal of inspiring young girls everywhere to re-imagine who can be a scientist, engineer or inventor. Through partnerships like these, we affirm our commitment to improving gender equity in STEM. We’re kicking off this partnership with a series of free online resources and activities for Engineers Week and Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day–see below for more!

Today, and every day, the Moonshot network is working together to build a world where all young girls have access to learning opportunities beyond the classroom that spark genuine and sustained interest in STEM.

“Creating a shared STEM experience with an educator, STEM volunteer, and student is transformative. One of DiscoverE’s guiding principles is that none of us is as strong as all of us and partnering with the STEM Next Opportunity Fund brings us closer to reaching our shared goal of reaching millions with STEM learning, closing the gender gap, and achieving diversity, equity and inclusion in the field.”

- Kathy Renzetti, Executive Director of DiscoverE
