Participate in the EZIE Mission

NASA invites your school or educational program to participate in the EZIE Mission, a collaboration between Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHU APL) and NASA. Through the EZIE-Mag initiative, you can apply to receive a FREE magnetometer for your students to use in studying space weather and aurora science.

The EZIE Mission is unique because it’s the first NASA mission where students can directly engage with space weather and aurora research. We’re offering 700 free magnetometers to classrooms, afterschool programs, and other educational groups across the country.

This program is ideal for 8th graders and high school students. The data your students collect will complement the measurements taken by the EZIE mission. By participating, students will also work with EZIE scientists and contribute as citizen scientists!

We ask that you request one magnetometer per classroom, organization, or program. Priority will be given to Title 1 schools and indigenous communities.
