Adeline

My name is Adeline and I am a member of the 2023 Flight Crew. I am 16 years old. I live in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. I have co-founded a non-profit called Growing the STEM which funds and runs over 40 after school STEM programs in my community at elementary and middle schools.

I first was introduced to STEM when I competed in a 4th grade district math is cool competition in 3rd grade and got 3rd place. Since then, I developed a passion for math and STEM and competed in math competitions even through middle school. In 5th grade I came up with an idea for peer-tutoring at my school and me and my sister made the club now known as "mathletes". Since then, we have made a “Math is Cool” club, STEM club, chess club and I have also developed curriculum for the STEM art club and STEM book clubs which piloted earlier this year.

I have aspirations to go to college on the east coast and major in either philosophy or math, possibly minoring in one. I dream of being a lawyer, psychologist, high-school teacher, etc.
