Meet Ariel

I’m Ariel, a junior from Kentucky and a member of the 2023 Flight Crew!

I first became interested in STEM through robotics, and since then, I have been able to work on meaningful projects and cross-apply my other interests with STEM. I serve as Chapter Engagement Director for a local student-led technology nonprofit where I run competitions and STEM education sessions for over 20 schools. I have also combined my passion for public speaking with STEM to create SpeakOut, a student initiative that encourages public speaking and civic engagement skills among youth through digital means. For me, STEM is an outlet to showcase my passions and make a difference in my community.

As a part of the Flight Crew, I am excited to spread more STEM opportunities to girls and minority groups to make this field as inclusive and accessible as possible.
