Meet Ellyana

I am Ellyana (Elly) and I am 16 years old from Oakland, CA. I am a member of the 2023 Flight Crew. STEM is important to me because it can be used to answer our most profound questions.

My love for STEM began in first grade, when I joined the Scientific Adventures for Girls after school program. Scientific Adventures for Girls peaked my interest in STEM and encouraged me to continue to pursue STEM opportunities. I plan to go to a 4 year college/university after high school.

I would like to pursue being an engineer after college. I have participated in multiple coding programs and have also completed a summer program at the David E Glover Center in Oakland CA, where I learned how to program and build humanoid robots. This experience showed me the impact that engineering can have on building systems and finding new discoveries.
