Meet Evie
My name is Evie, I'm fifteen, and I'm from Fort Mill, South Carolina. I'm a member of the 2023 Flight Crew Million Girls Moonshot program, which is helping to engage kids in afterschool STEM activities.
I like STEM because it makes our lives easier by solving problems we all have. One of my favorite parts about STEM is getting to facilitate kids' STEAM activities for my Girl Scout troop. I have done a project where I sent brine shrimp to the International Space Station to explore feeding astronauts. I'm also on a Girl Scout Rocketry team competing in the American Rocketry Challenge and the 4-H Engineering Challenge.
This Spring, I'm going to be job shadowing the policy manager at the Catawba Riverkeeper to learn about methods to reduce the environmental impacts of industrial farming. I'm still deciding on my career path. Whatever I choose to do, I know I will be helping people.
