Meet Jamora

I am a high school junior at the nationally ranked Ransom Everglades School in Miami, Florida, where I am an active student member of the Environmental Sustainability Counsel, the Black Students Association, and President of the Gender and Sexuality Association.

As a multidisciplinary artist with a wide range of creative talents, I love designing my own clothing and fashion accessories, developing new products as well as producing original multimedia content.

I am equally passionate about all things STEM-related, environmental sustainability issues, and the act of empowering and uplifting my community through advocacy and service.

I am also actively involved in numerous afterschool programs that reflect my diverse interests; Miami Waterkeeper Junior Ambassador Program, the Perez Art Museum Miami Teen Arts Council, the Children’s Trust of Miami-Dade Youth Advisory Committee as well as I have been a Breakthrough Miami Scholar for the past 7 years.

Additionally, I am a 2023 History Miami Museum “Youth Photography Fellowship” member, and I represent the state of Florida as a 2023 Afterschool Alliance “National Youth Ambassador Program” member and 2023 STEM Next Opportunity Fund’s Million Girls Moonshot Program “National Flight Crew” member.

I plan to pursue a career in environmentally sustainable design and development.
