Meet Neha
I'm Neha, an 18-year old inventor and bestselling author from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and I am a member of the 2023 Flight Crew. Seeing my community devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic, I discovered my passion for technology and built SixFeetApart, a wearable social-distancing device to save lives. My innovation was featured in the New York Times, ABC, Nasdaq billboard in Times Square, and was recognized by President Biden and the Royal Family.
As a student in a small town and lacking access to STEM education, afterschool STEM programs were vital in supporting my journey. I joined Kode with Klossy’s summer camp, and I developed the PA Homeless Guide App to combat homelessness through policy change. I presented my app to Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, at Apple’s headquarters in New York.
Since then, I have interned at NASA for Earth-orbiting satellites, released my bestselling debut book “Innovation for Everyone: Solving Real-World Problems with STEM”, ran global innovation workshops for 70,000 students across 35 countries, and led the World Economic Forum’s Generation AI Council for ethical AI.
In college, I am excited to study computer science, and I dream of pursuing a career at the intersection of tech, sustainability, and social impact.
